The Daily Astorian published this article featuring a portrait from photo session with Nancy Bass Wyden, owner of Strand Books in New York, and wife of U.S. Senator, Ron Wyden. Sometimes the stars align, there are moments when I’m working I don’t feel like i’m “working” at all. Instead it feels like connecting, relating, laughing, sharing, honoring whatever shows up in the moment. I love these times. Sometimes the photo subject and i just click, it’s impossible for me not to see her free spirited beauty in every frame. This portrait session was one of those times. I remember shooting the session finding her casual side, elegant, lovely, grace mixed with an intoxicating smile, and down to earth essence. Clearly during family sessions we’ve done over the years, she has made my job very easy.
