honoring a fallen officer – seaside, oregon

The little nearby town of Seaside, OR was rocked by the loss of Jason Goodding, a police officer shot and killed last week while on duty.  This never happens around here.  Today, a service was held for Jason….a 39 year old man, son, husband, father of 2 little girls.  I didn’t know him or his family…but felt compelled to grab a few photos of the community who obviously loved him, and of some of the men and women in uniform who came from far and wide to attend.  I only listened to the service from outside, did not want to intrude too much….but wanted to pay my respects this way.  It just seems so weird to think you can go to work, kiss your family goodbye, and never make it home.  An emotional day for many around here… RIP Jason Goodding.Pin itPin itPin itPin itPin itPin itPin itPin itPin itPin itPin itPin itPin itPin itPin itPin itPin itPin itPin it
