This image is from the first photo shoot I ever did as a photographer. This is Leslie...she was the girlfriend of the busboy at the fancy restaurant I worked at as a bartender in Kansas City, MO. I got my first camera, a 35 mm Minolta, at a pawn shop there. I loved this old bridge in a section of town called the Bottoms. I put her in one of my dresses, and shot a roll of Kodak B&W film. When I went to pick up the pictures at the local camera store, the man who developed them said, "hey....i wanna talk to you...These photos are really good!" I told him it was my first time taking pictures. He went out of his way to let me know he could see something in my photographic eye. I'm sorry I didn't get his name, but he had no idea how much he helped shape my life.
