Pelican Lake – My Dad is Free

Family Time.  Pelican Lake, Minnesota…where i spent summers as a little girl.  I haven’t been back there since 1987.    This last week, I went back and celebrated the life and amazing adventures of my dad, Brandon L.W. Adams, M.D.  He requested his ashes be placed there alongside my mom, so off to Pelican we went.  We all came together to celebrate my Dad….the actual most interesting man in the world…(they modeled the Dos Equis commercial after him).   We laughed, cried, water-skied, drank wine, played music, told stories about him, and for these days, we were the family I remember and always wanted to have. An epic trip for me.  I saw old family members, and new ones…my niece I’d never met before.  Faces I hadn’t seen in 25 years.  I loved seeing all the ways we have grown.    Below are some candids straight out of the camera from our time together.  Pelican Lake is love – and freedom.  He is at peace and home now.
