From Manhattan to Cannon Beach with love…..Heavy on the black and white photos and wind in dramatic long hair please!   This couple is one of my favorite engagement sessions from last season.  This dynamic duo came all the way from Manhattan for their engagement photo session.   Their energy, along with the chilly, very windy fall day made for an electric set of photos.  Even though shooting in the wind can be a challenge, when i have a subject with beautiful long hair like hers, i use it as a wind machine to give drama.   Here are some photos from our session together.

Considering changing the name from Cannon Beach to Love Beach….so many people i have photographed expressing their love with eachother on this beach… weddings, engagement sessions, couples in love!…its pretty incredible.  I used to think it was Haystack Rock that made it special…which it is….i’m just saying, so much love has happened on this beach,  it’s worth noting.

Cartwheeling out 2016 and welcoming 2017.  Happy New Year to you from Julie Adams Photography.  During this time of reflection….i give thanks to you all for being an amazing group of  supporters, clients, photo subjects, and all around extremely cool people.  Taking lots of photos is one thing…but having an audience to show them to is a whole other beautiful thing.  Highlights of 2016, and favorite photo sessions coming up in the blog on the days to come….for now, peace out and be good to yourselves.  Lets see what 2017 has in store for us.  I see a few capers ahead.  XO

Patriotism, Confidence, Beauty, and Muriel Hemmingway Eyebrows…. As we creep toward the election, I had to comment…she is one of several seniors, telling me they were graduating then planning to go into some form of service for their country….from the Naval Academy to direct military service.  Reilly wanted her senior pictures with her American Flag.   I can’t help but notice the contrast between our beautiful, mature, patriotic youth of today, wanting to make a difference for their country, versus the adult leaders of today, acting like children, vying for positions of control and leadership of our country.  Those adult leaders will make decisions affecting the lives of our youth who selflessly will serve their nation in trust.  I celebrate the innocents.  Pin itPin itPin itPin itPin itPin itPin itPin itPin itPin itPin itPin itPin itPin it
